Childhood Heart Disease is the no.1 reason for child death in Australia (accounting for 35 per cent of all deaths) and 6 babies a day are diagnosed. There is no known cause or cure, and treatment often requires invasive surgery, requiring long periods of time spent in hospitals, usually in intensive care.

HeartKids Qld is there for families when they need it most with our in-hospital support programs, plus we fund vital research into the causes of childhood heart disease and treatment outcomes.
